Mealtime
Mealtime at melimelo is an important part in the learning process.

During meals, we encourage exploration and motivate children to try different foods. However, we never force a child to eat to maintain a positive relationship with food and mealtime.

Babies have individual rhythms and needs, so meals are not all served at the same time for everyone. Until they can sit independently, children are seated on an adult's lap or in a baby seat during mealtime. Once a child can sit on their own, they are provided with an appropriate chair.

We encourage children to feed themselves and explore foods using their fingers or a spoon. If a child is sleeping or showing signs of tiredness during mealtime, their meal will be adjusted accordingly, prioritizing their need for rest.

Breakfast is typically served between 7:30 and 8:00. A fruit snack is offered around 9:00. The midday meal is generally served between 11:30 and 12:15, depending on the groups. A final snack is provided in the afternoon around 16:00.

All meals are prepared on-site by our in-house chef.
For infants under 12 months, parents have the option to bring their own food from home if they prefer to continue their child's specific dietary plan.

We strive to create a positive and nourishing mealtime experience, fostering healthy eating habits and a sense of autonomy for the children in our care.
